”Man born of a woman is of jew days and full of trouble.” Job 14:1 Ms. Edna Earl Golff, the eighth and final child born to the late Linzie Golff, Sr. and Ollie Mae Solsberry Golff in Millen, Ga, December 23, 1956. Edna transitioned from this ole life on Saturday, April 23, 2022. She received her wings and home she went to be with the Lord. At an early age Edna joined the Mount Carmel Baptist Church where she served the usher board for many years. She attended the Aaron Elementary School and Jenkins County Middles School. In 1974 she graduated from Jenkins County High School and went on to attend Savannah State College. Edna worked for Jenkins County Headstart for more that twenty years, and for Jenkins County Elementary and High School for many years as a Para-Pro. Many years after assisting her mother with Golff Personal Care Home, she decided to continue Golff Personal Care Home until her health failed. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Fountain Spring Chapter 278. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Linzie Golff, Sr., her brothers, Lenzie Golff, Jr. and Joe Golff. To honor and hold her loving memories is her daughter, Leigh Briane Golff, three grandsons, PFC Aries Joe Golff, Ft Lewis, Washington State, Zyion Colin Brinkley and Khonor Mason Grier of Augusta, GA; one brother, Robbie L. (Ruth) Golff, Millen, GA; four sisters, Rosa L. (Wiley) Clark, Pompano Beach, FL, Shirley Smith, North Augusta, SC, Susie Handberry, Augusta, GA and Ollie (Earl) Parrish, Hephzibah, GA; special friends, Marcia Brown, Gloria Mills, Liz Bynes and Ruth Robinson, along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, April 30, 2022, at James A. Kirkland Mortuary from 1-6 p.m.
