Profile of Life for Mrs. Barbara Jean Bradford
Barbara J. Bradford was born as Bobby Jean Shatteen of February 10, 1944, to the late James Shatteen and Mary Etta McNeely. She attended school in Jenkins County School System in Millen, GA.
She moved to Chester, PA in 1969 with her five children. In 1974, she relocated after giving birth her youngest son Edward Tyrone Bradford. Barbara worked as a production worker at Crider Poultry for many years. She moved to Savannah, GA in 1992, where she lived there for many years until the passing of her beloved daughter Maryette (Buffy) Frazier. She recently returned home to Millen, GA, where her roots began. She was welcomed by her loving family to spend the rest of her precious days.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother Mary Etta McNeely, father James Raymond Shatteen, stepmother, Easter Shatteen, brothers, Bennie Shatteen and Raymond Shatteen, sister, Minnie Lee Tolbert, and daughter, Maryette (Buffy) Frazier.
She leaves behind, children, her daughter, Brenda L. Branch, Millen, GA; her sons, Ned (Peggy) Bradford of Albany, GA, Adam (Shakirah) Wahid of Savannah, GA, Tommy L. (Deborah) Frazier, Sr. of Savannah, GA Edward Tyrone (Mary) Bradford of Pooler, GA; her siblings, Robert (Carolyn) Shatteen of Dansville, GA, sister, Mary (Anthony) Jones of Augusta, GA; aunts, Lillie Shatteen of Savannah, GA, Bertha Smith of Savannah, GA, Sara Shatteen Jones of New Port News, VA and Uncle Henry Shatteen of Florida; she also leaves behind her adopted children, Charles Gordon and Andre Robinson of Savannah, GA, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many neighbors and friends that will cherish her memory.
