Ms. Carolyn Anfield Thompson, affectionately known as "Renea" was born to the late Calvin Anfield, Jr. and Ms. Beulah G. Anfield. She entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at her residence in Millen, GA.
Carolyn was in the Class of 1988 and a graduate of Jenkins County High School. She was employed at Jockey International and FIAMM for many years. She was currently employed with Nightingale until the time of her death
At an early age she joined Dickey Grove Baptist Church. Carolyn was a devoted mother, a loving sister, and a great friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Anfield, Jr, her mother Beulah Anfield, her brothers, Freddie Griffin, Jr. and Christopher Anfield, Sr., and her grandmothers, Ms. Queenie C. Mills and Ms. Jannie M. Anfield.
She leaves to rejoice in her memory, one loving son, Tyrone Evans, Jr. and one granddaughter, Ty'Breona' Graham of Millen, GA; one goddaughter, ZaKaria Wilson; two sisters, Sheila Griffin of Millen, GA and Quittis Anfield, Atlanta, GA; a special niece, Krystal Jones; step sisters and step brothers, Debra Williams, Teresa Griffin, Statesboro, GA, Sarah Griffin of Atlanta, GA, Timothy Griffin of Chris Griffin of Athens, GA, Rodney Gould and Coby Abraham of Augusta, GA, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; one special friend, Sherry Reese.
Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 28th at James A. Kirkland Mortuary from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 :p.m.
