Charlie Mosley was a devoted husband and father; a native of Millen, GA, born on February 19, 1937 to the late Ben Knight and Dollie Mae Gregory. At an early age Charlie joined the Daniel Grove Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and usher.
Charlie worked for many years for Plant Vogtle in Waynesboro, GA until he retired; after retirement he was self employed doing odd jobs about the community and for his church.
On Monday, April 12, 2021 Charlie entered eternal rest after a short illness at Pruitt Bethany Nursing Center in Millen, GA.
Charlie was joined in holy matrimony to Heddie Louise Herrington Mosley, and to this union one child was born, Dollie Bell Mosley.
Mr. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Betty Monique, Lacy McNeely, Roosevelt Washington, Dennis Gregory, and Johnny Sherdick.
Deacon Charlie Mosley leaves to cherish his wonderful memories to his loving wife of sixty plus years, Mrs. Heddie Louise Mosley; one daughter, Dollie Bell Mosley, one grandson, Victor (Santana) Mosley; one great-grandchild, Jamarie S. Mosley, and, reared as a son, Cory (Yolanda) Williams; five brother, Ellis Ivey, Sr., Orlanda, FL, Clarence Gregory, Jacksonville, FL, Lee Edward Mosley, Millen, Robert (Bonnie) Gregory, Warner Robbins, GA, Carl Mosley, Philadelphia, PA; two brothers-in-law, Frank Herrington, Brunswick, GA; Tom Herrington, Augusta, GA, his sisters-in law, Lessie Johnson, Viola Bowen, Martha Harris, Lucy Herrington, Linda Herrington; and special friends, Charles & Irene Drummer, and Ms. Sallie Lambert; a host of nieces and nephews, other family members, and loving friends that knew him.
