Ms. Cynthia Gail McNeely was born Augusta 11, 1954 to the late Lacey and Elizabeth McNeely. She departed this life on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the home of her sister, Mrs. Rosa Lee Miles.
Cynthia McNeely was a faithful member of Brantley Temple Holiness Church throughtout her childhood and early adulthood. She later joined the Miracle Deliverance Center where she served faithfully as assistance pastor un the directions of Aspostle Joe L. Paige. After the passing of Joe L. Paige she became Pastor of Miracle Deliverance under the directions of Walter J. Finley. She served as fiancial secretary and treasury for their organization. Ms. Cynthia was an Educator, and Assistance Principal for Jenkins County Elemetary School System until retirement.
Cynthia was elected served three terms on the Board of County Commissioners until her death.
Cynthia was a graduate of Paine College, South Carolina State University, and Georgia Southern University.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. McNeely, and a brother-in-law, Mr. Arthur Miles.
Cynthia leaves to her demise three sisters, Mrs. Rosa Lee Miles and Neltricia Simmons (Harold) both of Millen, GA and Mrs. Shirley Anne Lane (Emmitt) of Augusta, GA, and Ms. Charlotte Gordon (reared as a sister); three brothers, Bobby C. McNeely (Doris) of Atlanta, GA and Alfred McNeely of Millington, TN and Michael Knight of Millen, GA; two nieces, Elizabeth Austin, of Atlanta, GA and Chynna Elizabeth of Statesboro, GA; four nephews, Emmitt Lane III of Tampa, FL, Jeremiah Lane of Killeen, TX, Robert McNeely of Atlanta, GA, and Christopher Simmons (Shanae) of covington, GA and four great nephews, Christian, Ezra, Xion Simmons of Covington, GA, Cavon Lane of Statesboro, GA and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation will be Friday, July 16th at James A. Kirkland Mortuary
from 2-6 p.m.
