Mr. Elijah Reese was born on November 2, 1960, in Millen, Georgia to
the late Ethel Mae Pierce Reese and Elbert Reese, Sr.; he received his
orders to be present with the Lord on July 4, 2024, at 1:35 in the a.m.
at Augusta University Medical Center after a long illness.
Known by many as "Red" he was a graduate of the Class of 1978 from
Jenkins County High School. He worked at Brigadier Industries after
graduating from high school until he enlisted in the military and joined
the United States Army in 1984. While serving in the military he
attended many schools to further his education and also attended
Chaminade University while stationed in Hawaii. Red received an
honorable discharge on March 12, 1996, with the rank of SGT.
During his younger years when he wasn't serving his country, in his
spare time Red found joy in coaching youth sports and cherishing
precious moments with his children., He enjoyed his family and
entertaining friends. Always the life of the party
He was preceded in death by his parents, several siblings, Evelyn
Reese, Henry, Samuel, James and Elbert Reese, Jr.
His memory will forever be cherished by his loving daughter,
Samantha Reese, a stepson, Dennis Love, 3 granddaughters, Makayla
Reese, Skylar and Summer Love, 2 grandsons, Briley and Pressley
Love, and a great granddaughter Alora Love; his brothers, Jimmy
(Shirley), Michael Reese, Ronnie (Freda) Reese; his sisters-in-law, Myrtis
Reese and Vetta Reese; one aunt, Ms. Alavan Reese, close friends,
James Golden and Vanessa Love and a host of nieces, nephews, other
loving family and friends.
