Mr. Ernest Lee Burns was born to the late Mary Frances Burns on January 14, 1939. On March 23rd, 2021 he received his wings and was united with the Lord.
Ernest attended the Cousins school in the Perkins community. Later in life he met and married Delores Williams on January 9, 1957; to this union three daughters were born.
He was preceded in death by four siblings, Mary Jean, Jefferson, Glinda Bynes, Linda Roberts & Edna Burns.
He leaves to cherished memories: a devoted and faithful wife, Mrs. Delores Williams Burns; his children, Yvonne (Murphy) Brown, Shalimar, FL, Terry Burns and Connie (Donnie) Watson, Hephzibah, GA, and Bobby Youngblood of Waynesboro, GA; stepchildren, Roland, Grace, Diane Johnson, (Elder Johnson), Pooler, GA, Lisa Davis (Wilson), Jesup, GA, Naomi Ekemode (Pastor Michael), Orlanda, FL, Elvis Davis, Atlanta, GA, Angela Davis, Millen, GA; siblings, Lorene Horton (Kyle) of Los Angeles, CA, Bessie White (Curtis), Hiltonia, GA, Diane Jones, Edward Burns, Charles Burns and James Holmes; twenty seven grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren; a grand and two great grand preceded him in death.
