Ms. Gladys Elizabeth Johnson McClain, the youngest daughter of the late Mr. Jesse W. Johnson, Sr. and the late Annie L. Sherrod Johnson was born on December 17, 1947.
Gladys was a 1966 graduate of Burgess Landrum High School. After graduation, Gladys began work at Jockey International and was a dedicated employee for 30 plus years. She was a dedicated servant of God, using her talents to read and speak about the goodness of God.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Ollie M. Sapp.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a beloved and devoted daughter Annie Johnson of Jonesboro, Georgia; one brother, Reverend Dr. Jesse W. (Rubystene) Johnson of Augusta, Georgia. Gladys held dear to her heart her nieces and nephews who she called, "her kids": Livia, James, Beverly (Kelvin), Cheryl, Connie, Michael (Debra), Greg, and Jessica. Additionally, she held a special place in her heart for Natasha, Ryan, Nigel, and Caleb of Snellville, Georgia and a host of other family and friends.
