Gloria surrendered her life to God and joined her family church, Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist church at a young age and has never been a member of any other church. Her last earthly service was as a choir member and working towards the church window project. When she was not visiting Whitesville Baptist church in Statesboro, Ga with her daughters, she looked forward to being with her church family every 2nd Sunday.

Gloria's Grand Finale
Baybay settled into a life of retirement August 2022. A plaque on display in her home says, she's not retired, she is just a "professional grandma." Some of her greatest joys were to take her grandsons (John & Mon) to school and being in the parent pick up line by 2:00 pm.; She never missed any of John's games. Gloria enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as, her children, grandchildren, siblings, neighbors, and church family. Those left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy are her 3 loving children who consist of Dinitra (Nene) Wadley of Statesboro, Ga, Markeyces (Krystal) Wadley of Seattle, WA, Latoya (Toya) Johnson Statesboro, Ga; 4-grands Tatiyanna Wadley, Markeyces Wadley Jr., Johnathan Wadley, Djimon Mack; Three-siblings Eloise (Lee) White, Lottie (Albert) Kaigler, Annie (Warner) McCray; Uncle Charlie Williams of New York and Aunt Vivian Williams of McDonough, Ga. and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
