Gloriden Davis (Tee-Wee) was born December 26, 1950, to the late Ollie M. Harris and Hosley B. Harris, Sr. She was the second of eight children born to this union. She joined New Mount Calvary MBC in Liberty City, FL at a young age. She attended Poinciana Park Elementary School, Dorsey Junior High School and Northwestern High School until the family moved to Millen, Ga in December 1966. She received her diploma in 1968 at Burgess Landrum High School in Millen, GA. Among awards she received was second place in the 1968 Oratorical monetary scholarship which was a tremendous help when she became a licensed cosmetologist in 1969 at Augusta Technical School. Prior to marriage, she joined Zion Baptist Church in Millen, GA.
Tee-Wee possessed a kind personality with a beautiful smile. She believed in being true to your word and convictions. She loved to travel and meet new people from different ethnicities.
She loved being creative in décor and fashion. She thrived in Customer Service in banking, retail and medical scheduling. Her closest relationships were initiated and cherished through travel until the end. She loved her siblings and always presented herself as a notable example to avoid conflicts at all times.
She swore to siblings that she didn't consume the most "Mocking Bird" eggs! This is a shared phrase as we became older. As children, we called it "tattling." After the birth of her daughter, she embraced thirteen (13) as her lucky number!! Her favorite scripture was Proverbs 3:5-6.
Gloriden was preceded in death by five siblings.
She leaves to mourn, a devoted protective, and dedicated daughter, Torey Davis-Bogan (Andrew), a devoted son-law, and a grandson, Ronnie Croney, Jr., the apple of her eye. She and Torey were inseparable.
She also leaves two sisters and a brother-in-law, Bonnie (Robert) Gregory, and Annie Harris (Frank) with heavy hearts, but wonderful memories of cherished moments together. One aunt, Pearlie Johnson, and also many loving nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends to cherish wonderful memories shared with her.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 30th at Zion Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
