Obituary

Brother Howard Edward Young was born August 4, 1962, in Jenkins County to Mr. Joe Haynes Senior, and Josephine Young. On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, he made his transition into his heavenly home.
At an early age, he joined Drakes Chapel Baptist Church in Herndon, Georgia with his family. Later in his adulthood, he transitioned to Williams Grove Church of God in Christ and faithfully served as a Senior Choir Member, Bus Driver, and Church Security Officer.
As a young boy, he was educated in the Jenkins County School System. He graduated from Jenkins County High school in 1980, and he completed his training to become a Professional Truck Driver with Builders Transport in North Augusta, South Carolina. Later on, in 1995 he pursued his passion to become a Police Officer by completing his training at Richmond County Police Academy, where he served for 12 years as a Police Officer. He missed traveling on the road, so he returned to truck driving with Williams Brother Truck Driving Transportation until the year 2020.
He will be remembered as a loving person that loved everyone and took care of others before himself. He had a special relationship with his family members, especially his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Joe Haynes, mother Josephine Young, Brothers Jimmy Young, and Joe Haynes Jr., and Sisters Rosa Pinkney, Dorothy Young, and Mattie B. Lewis.
He leaves great memories to be cherished and carries on his legacy: Stepchildren, Jerry Lockhart Jr. Elexis Lockhart, Austin Hagen, Ronnie Hagen the 2nd, Nicole Young, and Larissa Badie. Siblings, John & Annie Young, Paul & Bevelyn Young, Roosevelt & Shelia Anthony, Tommy Lee Young, Lula Mae Doyle, Mae Della Sapp, Thelmon Hagens, Frances Young, Sister-in-Law, Onnie B.
