Janie Laveine Gordon, 51, born to the late Annie Lee Williams and Eugene Hills, Sr. in Metter, GA on April 10, 1972. She was the second oldest child of five children. Janie was a member of the Johnson Chapel Baptist Church in Millen, GA.
She was educated mostly in Jenkins County public schools, but she graduated from Stranahan High School in Broward County, Florida. She also attended College in Broward County, Florida.
Later in life she worked for many years in Millen, GA with Gurley's Super Market; then later she was employed with Save-A-Lot in Statesboro, GA and Pineland Mental Health also in Statesboro, GA.
On May 25th, 2005, Janie was united in holy marriage to Arthur L. Gordon, and they lived happily in Portal, GA until her untimely passing.
Janie leaves to cherish and loving memories to her husband, Arthur Lee Gordon, Portal, GA; her sweet loving grandmother, who raised her as her own, Mrs. Tommie Lee of Millen, GA; three children, Danny Gordon (Alina), Atlanta, GA, Ricky Williams, (Shirley), Statesboro, GA, and Rosa Gordon, Hillsborough, FL; fourteen grandchildren; two siblings, Felicia (Jay-Jay) Grant, Statesboro, GA, and Antonio Hills of Millen GA; two special raised siblings, Shewanda (Chris) Warner, Twin City, GA and Jimmy (Karen) Lee, Millen, GA; three uncles, Tommy Mosley, Statesboro, GA, Perry Hills, Garfield, GA, and Bobby (Shirlean) Pinkney of Florida; two aunts, Carolyn Lee and Lue Ann (Julius) Smith, both of Millen, GA; ten nieces and nephews that she loved so much, Chris Williams, Darius Moses, Timothy Morris, Jr., Antonio Hills, Jr., Arnetria Hills, Chiquita Hills, LaTravion McClain, Tiffany Boatwright, Sanquez Lee and Tyrone Johnson; and a host of other loving and devoted family and friends.
