Mrs. Janie Mae Sanders Washington was born on January 3, 1943 in Millhaven, Georgia to the late parents of Deacon Matthew Sanders and Sister Hattie Lee Sanders. As she attended Burgess Landrum School and graduated in 1962.
On September 2, 2020, Janie Mae departed this life to begin her life with her Heavenly Father.

"And it shall be if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee."

Janie was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Teddy Washington, and eight siblings
Mrs. Janie Mae Sanders Washington leaves to cherish precious and fond memories to her loving children, Carelene Childs (Ulysees), Sandra Washington, and Tabatha Washington (Steve), all of Millen, GA; one sister, Margaret Reynolds Thomas; Brothers-in-law, Charlie (Louise) Mosley, Lee Edwards Mosley, Robert (Bonnie) Gregory Sanders, and Westeria Sanders; fourteen grandchildren, and a host great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
