Mr. John Lee Roberson was born on December 25, 1949 to Rosie Lee Roberson and John Willie Bill in Millen, Georgia. He was educated in the Jenkins county school system, where it was discovered early in his formative years that he suffered with a developmental disorder, which resulted in his classical education being suspended. But despite this disorder, he grew, and he learned as a direct result of the spiritual nurturing, the love, and the discipline his mother instilled into him. John loved God and accepted Christ at an early age at the Morrison Grove Baptist Church. He spent much of his life with his mother being the "Man of the House" cutting the grass, lifting things, and protecting the home. John loved his family. He would love on you and tell you off when he felt like it or when you bothered him. Later in life, he went to live at Twin View Health and Rehabilitation Senior Living Center in Twin City, Georgia. It was from Twin View that God saw fit to call him from labor to reward on August 26, 2020.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Rosie Lee Roberson; his father, John Willie Bill; his sisters, Betty Roberson Terrell and Thelma Young; his brothers, James Arthur Roberson; Albert Lee Roberson, Sr.; Ellison Edwards; John Edwards; and George Edwards.
He is survived by his sisters, Rosie Roberson Sibert of Savannah, Georgia; Annie Roberson Dorsey (Eugene) of Hephzibah, Georgia; Gloria Roberson of Augusta, Georgia; Martha (Jeff) Brown, Waynesboro, Georgia; and Linda (Angelo) Hayes Palmetto, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
