In Loving Memory of Lee Dell “Duck” Williams

Lee Dell Williams, 98, peacefully entered eternal rest on Monday, July 27, 2026. He was

born on January 21, 1928, Lee Dell lived a life rooted in faith, family, hard work, and unwavering love.

Lee Dell was the beloved son of the late Henry Douglas Williams and Mattie E. Williams. He

became a member of Rocky Ford Baptist Church at a younger age, where he worshiped the

Lord and remained committed to his faith throughout his life.

On July 6, 1953, Lee Dell Williams married the love of his life, Ollie Mae Toby Williams. Together they shared nearly 61 years of marriage before she was called home on June 26, 2014. Their marriage was a beautiful example of commitment, devotion, and unconditional love. Though separated by death, their love never ended. After twelve years apart, they are now reunited in Heaven. Lee Dell and Ollie Mae were blessed with eleven children.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Annie J. Williams, Glenis Williams, Lenora Williams, Cora (Genesis) Scott, Ronnie Williams, Tony (Bernadette) Williams, and Charles Williams. He was preceded in death by four of his children, Jeanette Williams, Lee Hughes Williams, Bonnie Gail Williams, and Frederick Williams who welcomed him into his heavenly home.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Lynn Williams, Robert Williams, and Henry Lee

Williams. He is also survived by his sisters: Cora Dell Roberts and Viola (Jessie) Bigham as well as nineteen grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grands as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

For 37 years he proudly worked for Norfolk Southern. He loved working for the railroad, and his dedication to his work was a testament to his strong work ethic and perseverance. An injury to his foot eventually brought his railroad career to an end, but it never took away the strength and determination that defined him throughout his life. He also had a green thumb, and he found joy in working in his garden. It was a reflection of the care and patients he carried in his heart, which is a reminder that with love, dedication, and time, something beautiful will grow. He had a deep appreciation for collecting antique coins and watching WWE wrestling, looking forward to every match.

But perhaps his greatest accomplishment was the love he gave to his family. He raised his

grandchildren as his own, providing them with love, guidance, strength, and a home filled with memories that will never be forgotten. He was more than a grandfather; he was a father, a provider, a teacher, and a source of strength for his family. His quiet strength spoke louder than words, and caring heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
