Early Sunday morning, November 7, 2021, God looked down from the windows of heaven and picked a beautiful flower from his garden; Mr. Lester Williams, Jr.
Mr. Lester Williams, Jr. was born on June 25, 1956 in Jenkins County to the later Lester and Ossie Williams. Lester was affectionately known as "Jr.". He attended the Jenkins County Training Center.
While growing up he and his mother were inseparable (two peas in a pod). You did not see one without the other. Because of his advanced years and declining health, he and his mother relocated to the Jenkins County Nursing Home which is now Pruitt Health. His residence was there for a number of years. He continued to enjoy a reasonable portion of health and strength until the last few months of life. Lester departed this earthly life on November 7, 2021 at Pruitt Health.
Jr. was converted and baptized at the Old Rocky Ford Baptist Church around the Red Hill Community. On April 16, 2016 Lester rejoined Rocky Baptist Church under the leadership of Minister Thelma Evans. His memories will be cherished by a host of cousins and other relatives.
