Mrs. Louise Sims, daughter of the late R.D. & Elizabeth Ward, was born on July 23, 1947, in Jenkins County. She received her wings on April 16, 2025, at her residence surrounded by family.
At an early age she joined Wards Grove Baptist Church where she served faithfully.
She received her education from Burgess Landrum High School and received a diploma in 1968.
She was united in holy wedlock with Deacon Arthur Lee Sims, Jr. on March 8, 1969, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and loving friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Elizabeth Ward Bated, Edna Dukes Davis and Rosa Green.
She leaves to cherished memories to three children and one stepson, Arthur Lee (Demeteria) Sims, III of Waynesboro, GA, Sammy Sims, Tonya (Travis) Osborne, George (Nathasha) Sims; twelve grandchildren, Kani Sims, Jessica (Johnny) Branch of Millen, GA, Deon Broomer Jr, Eulis Rhodes, Jr., Artheriel Rhodes, Gianna Sims, Giulienna Sims, Jazzimine Sims, all of Augusta, GA, Samuel Sims, Atlanta, GA, Carion Robertson, Aiken, SC, Malcom Sims, Malik Sims, Los Angeles, CA; two brothers, Sam Ward, Millen, GA and Ernest (Renee) Ward of Waynesboro, GA; two sisters-in-law, Betty (Ezekiel) Singleton, Atlanta, GA and Mae Frances Reed Kelly of Millen, GA; three Avon Sims, and Larry (Michelle) Sims, Millen, GA, Avon Sims, Thompson, GA Adam Sims (Wadeeah) Sims, Augusta, GA, Ted Reeves; a nieces nephews, cousins and host and a host of other relatives and friends. A special Recognition to Deon Broomer, Jr., Jessica Branch and Medical Service of America Hospice Team.
Viewing will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at James A. Kirkland Mortuary from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
