Obituary
Mrs. Mary Alice Holmes Newton, was born on July 15, 1950, to the late Jessie Bell Holmes in Waynesboro, GA; she entered eternal rest on June 29, 2024, at Pruitt-Health-Bethany in Millen, GA.

As a young woman she moved to Florida where she worked and met her now husband, the love of her life, Mr. James Newton, married for twenty-one years.
She loved her family and loved going to church, she will be missed greatly.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Newton, Jr. and her grandson, Jamarkis Newton.
Mary leaves to cherish, a loving husband, Mr. James Newton, of Millen, GA; one son, Karl (Raquel) Newton of Richmond Hill, GA and one daughter, Caretha (Randy) Mincey of Savannah, GA; and one grandson, Javontay (Dyia) Newton of Statesboro, GA, and a host of other relatives and friends.
