Ollie Mae Mosley, also known to some as "The Cook," was born to the late Moses Jackson and Pauline Jackson on December 26, 1948, in Millen, GA. On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, Ollie Mae made her transition to go be with the Heavenly Father. She was educated through the Jenkins County School System and graduated from Burgess Landrum High School.
When Ollie was a young girl she joined Lane Grove Baptist Church of Millen, GA. She was a dedicated member and always had the spirit to serve other. Ollie Mae later joined Banks Creek Primitive Baptist Church of Portal, GA, and she served on the Usher Board and Kitchen Committee for many years. Ollie Mae was a very sweet, patient lady and loved to cook for everyone. She was a business owner and ran the Den Restaurant for many years along with many other food services where she catered delicious meals for many occasions. No one could beat her southern cooking and wonderful personality. With a heart of Gold for Service she has put away her silver spoons and serving forks to take rest from labor and enjoy the Bounty of the Lord. She will be warmly missed by all who have ever graced her kitchens and tasted her food.
Ollie Mae was preceded in death by her sister Ollie B. Jackson, brothers, Lee James Jackson, Robert Lee Jackson, Willie Lewis Jackson, Sr and Moses Jackson.
Mother leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Evon Wright {Alfonzia} of August, GA, Angela Carr {Leon} of Millen, GA, and one son, Bobby Mosley {Lacrecia} of Jacksonville, FL; her former husband, Mr. Bobby Mosley of Portal, GA; four siblings, Eva Mae Stephens of Millen, GA, Dorothy {Perry} Morgan, and Mentoria Ross of Vero Beach, FL, and James Edward Jackson of Millen, GA; twenty grandchildren, three godchildren, Joseph, Jeffrey &Jessica Stephens. and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
