Rosa Lee Young was a loving, dedicated mother, grandmother, granny, sister, and friends. A native of Millen, GA.
Rosa was born September 25, 1949 to the late Joe Haynes, Sr. and Josephine Young.
She attended Birdsville Herndon and Burgess Landrum Schools; at an early age she joined Drake Chapel Baptist Church and later united with Williams Grove. C.O.G.I.C. and served on the usher board and as a choir member until her health declined.
Rosa worked at Jockey International for 25 plus years.
She was married to the love of her life, Izell Pinkney on July 2, 1984 who preceded her I death in March of 2019. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica M. Pinkney and her father, Joe Haynes, Sr., her mother, Josephine Young, a sister, Mattie B. Lewis, and a brother, Joe Haynes, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories two dedicated daughters, Kimberly T. Young and Tameka, L. Young both of Millen, GA; two granddaughters, Sha-Nique J. Prescott, Hephzibah, GA, and Tomera Plair of Millen, one great-granddaughter, Bryleigh J. Branch, Millen, GA; god-children, Pamela Baldwin, Carla Diaz, Tyshida Young, and Mychhal Hudson, all of Millen, GA; nine siblings, Joh W. (Annie) Young, Lula M. Doyle, Mae Della Sapp, Thelmon Hagens, Roosevelt (Sheila) Anthony J. Paul (Bevelyn) Young, Howard E. Young, Tommy L. Young and Frances E. Young, all of Millen, GA; one sister-in-law, Onnie B. Haynes, Hephzibah, GA; brothers-in-law, Otis Pinkney and Bobby Pinkney, Florida; two mother figures, Cealia Kirkland and
Adell Anthony; five aunts, Martha Foreman, Dorothy Brown, Waynesboro, and Mary Brown, Hephzibah, Alberta Edwards, St. Petersburg, FL and Linda Haynes, Atlanta, GA; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Visitation will be from 1-6 p.m. Friday, April 23 at James A. Kirkland Mortuary
