Mr. Roy Bynes was born to the parents of Charlie Bynes, Sr. & Bernice Thompson Bynes in Millen, GA on January 4, 1958. On Saturday, September 12, 2020 Roy was called home to be with the Heavenly Father. He attended Jenkins County public school and was a previous employee of the City of Millen with the water works department, later becoming a self- employed Plummer.
He was known by all who knew and loved him as "Taxi." So many have come to know him as a Plummer by trade. He was a well-known and well-loved man. The homes and businesses of many have been graced with his presence and know-how of plumbing repairs; no job was too big or too small for him to complete. He served the community well and was happy to be of service to those who called upon him. While passing his "Torch of Plumbing" to his elder son, Jeremy, Roy now takes his much-needed rest. We shall miss you Roy, take your rest, job well done!
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Charlie Bynes and three siblings, Charlie Edward, Robert Lee, and Ralph Bynes.
.
Roy leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Jeremy Bynes and Xavier LaRoy Bynes; three brothers, Tommy Lee Thompson, Kenneth Bynes (Delaine), and Verlon Bynes, Sr.; five sisters, Elizabeth Mosley (Calvin), Shirley LaCue (Eugene), Elsie Mae Bynes (Ed Willie), Fearron Bynes, and Barbara Cobb (Ulysses), and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
