Mr. Thomas Solsberry, Sr. age 86, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2020 at Jenkins County Medical Center. Thomas was born on October 11, 1933 in Millen, GA to the late Rebecca Ruffin Solsberry and Mr. Eli Dunmore.
Later in life,
Thomas met and married the late Maggie Bell Boatwright and to this union seven children were added.
Thomas was a fixture with the Smith Supply later Rocker Supply for over forty years. Thomas had a passion for helping other. Thomas had a genuine heart and once you met him, you would never forget, "Mr. Tom." His smile, sitting on the porch waving and his ability to create lasting relationships, will sorely be missed.
At an early age Thomas joined the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Thomas served the church faithfully for a number of years in different roles from usher, assistant chief of usher board to president of the usher board, Thomas believed very much in God and made sure his family was raised in the Church.
Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Maggie B. Boatwright, by a brother Eddie Solsberry, Sr. and sisters, Rosa Cosby, Ollie Mae Golff and Edna Solsberry.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memories; three daughters, Nancy Moore, Snellville, GA, Tammy (Willie) Scott and Mary Solsberry of Millen, GA; four sons; Thomas (Joie) Solsberry, Jr., Kelvin (Stephanie) Solsberry, Seattle WA, John Solsberry, Snellville, GA and Christopher Solsberry of Millen, GA; Ten grandchildren, Michelle, Dennis, Nicole, Kenneth, Jostavian, Stefon, Miranda, Cameron, Courtney, and Bernard; and eighteen great-grandchildren; one brother, David (Deloris) Williams of Savannah, GA; two devoted nephews, Arthur Solsberry of Philadelphia, PA and Rodriquez Solsberry of Athens, GA; four sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews,
