Our Story
For the last 24 years we have been caring for families in their sadiest hours. As a funeral professional I take pride in doing all we can to make this a heart-warming and memorable tribute to your loved ones.
Ever since we opened our doors we have approached life (and death) differently. While some just see the end of a loved one’s life as a time for grief and mourning, we prefer to think of it as a time for reflection, appreciation and even celebration. This is evident in everything we do, from the way we conduct our services to the amenities we choose to offer. We are not a burial ground. We are a close knit community dedicated to honoring, sharing and preserving the amazing and inspirational stories that are life.
Why Us?
In a nutshell? Experience, professionalism, compassion, and empathy.
We've learned a lot over many years. Like how to present options without overwhelming. And how to meet the needs of many caring parties. People come to us in difficult times, and we respond kindness, calmness and expertise. Our goal is to create a beautiful occasion and make you feel welcome, always. We spend our days planning with families. We stay up to date with industry developments. And we make hard times a little easier.
Learn the legacy.

That has never changed. And with pride, it never will.
Who We Are
Meet our staff. Members of the local community make everything that happens possible.
Together, we make this place amazing.
Mr. James A. Kirkland
Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer
James was licensed in April of 1989. He was a graduate of Gupton-Jones Mortuary College in Decatur, GA. Funeral Service was my passion, and I have had this passion since the age of eight. Also while being a Police Officier/Staff Sgt. with Millen Police Dept. for the last thirty-six years, dedication, honor to service my community and the love of my obligation is what make me your hometown Funeral Director.
Mrs. Bernice I. Kirkland
Manager
As a manager, I am pleased to be of service to our families and our community. This position was awarded to me 24 years ago and I serve it with pride. By profession I am an accountant and a office manager; but the most important position is planning lasting memorials for the families we serve.
